According to reports in Autosport, the Red Bull racing team believe they have identified the person or persons responsible for leaking confidential blueprints to the Spyker F1 team that they in turn took to the FIA to prove that Red Bull had designed parts of this year’s Toro Rosso, and are looking to seek legal action in regard to the matter.

Highly respected F1 engineer Mike Gascoyne started work at Spyker’s Silverstone factory on Wednesday.

The 43-year-old Briton, now with the grandiose title of Chief Technology Officer, left Toyota early in 2006 and previously worked as Technical Director at the Renault team.

Gascoyne has also worked for Jordan, his new employer’s former F1 guise, and admits that he had ‘other options’ but didn’t want to join another works team.
