Toyota Racing Chairman Tsutomu Tomita to become Chairman of Fuji Speedway

As announced on 26 April, Tomita will stand down from his role at Toyota Motorsport at the end of June to be replaced by current Vice Chairman Tadashi Yamashina. Tomita, 63, will take over as Chairman of Fuji Speedway, which hosts the Japanese Grand Prix this year for the first time since 1977.

Q and A with Panasonic Toyota Racing driver Ralf Schumacher

After the three opening fly away events, the German racer returns to Europe with just one point to his credit secured after an eighth placed finish in the season opening Australian Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, teammate Jarno Trulli has four points to his name after two seventh placed finishes in Malaysian and Bahrain, keeping Toyota’s statistics of securing points in every race alive.

Ralf Schumacher is far from happy with the result, however he is hoping that things will improve for the first European leg of the season, as he explained to the team’s official website in the following interview…
