Lewis Hamilton ready for Canadian debut

lewis hamilton, hamilton, formula one hamilton, f1 hamilton, canadian gp hamilton, monaco grand prix, canadian grand prixLewis Hamilton continued his history making start to what will only be a fine Formula One career with another podium finish in the Monaco grand prix a week ago, the young Brit now making it five from five to stay at the top of the championship ladder alongside his double world championship winning teammate, Fernando Alonso, and the goal is to now add a top step finish to his resume in the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix.

However, while confident that he will do well in the Canadian arm of the championship, Lewis has never actually raced on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in his racing career and everyone knows that this track has its own way of making history. That said though, there are ample opportunities to pass here, unlike Monaco, and driver skill is at the forefront, making his goal of a maiden win a real possibility….

Toyota Racing Chairman Tsutomu Tomita to become Chairman of Fuji Speedway

toyota racing, tsutomu tomita, fuji speedway, toyota, fuji, formula one, f1, gpPanasonic Toyota Racing Chairman and Team Principal Tsutomu Tomita will become the new Chairman of Fuji Speedway, it was announced today.

As announced on 26 April, Tomita will stand down from his role at Toyota Motorsport at the end of June to be replaced by current Vice Chairman Tadashi Yamashina. Tomita, 63, will take over as Chairman of Fuji Speedway, which hosts the Japanese Grand Prix this year for the first time since 1977.

Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo rules out Prime Minister bid

Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo has rejected media reports that said he was about to embark on a career in Italian politics.

The rumours were sparked late last week when the 59-year-old gave a speech - critical of the country’s political incumbency - that was interpreted as a precursor to a career switch.

Montezemolo said he wanted to see lower taxes and a more flexible market in Italy, with even Prime Minister Romano Prodi confessing that the speech ’spoke for itself’.
