Toyota will leave China empty-handed after a desperately disappointing afternoon’s work at today’s Chinese Grand Prix. Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli had it all to do today from their grid positions of 16th and 17th. Ralf suffered an oil pressure problem on lap 49 and retired while Trulli retired with a loss of pneumatic pressure on lap 38.

Schumacher takes championship lead in China

Michael Schumacher scooped his seventh win of the season, his first points in the Chinese Grand Prix ever, and crucially the lead in the drivers’ championship in a completely unpredictable Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai. Alonso recovered from numerous set backs to salvage second place ahead of team mate Giancarlo Fisichella.

Albers loses qualifying time

Christijan Albers has lost his qualifying time as the FIA decided to place him at the back of the grid on Saturday evening. The Spyker MF1 Racing driver lost his qualifying time because he failed to show up to weigh his car after the qualifying session.
