As we discussed yesterday, the future of Formula One isn’t looking too healthy at this particular point in time and apart from the three teams preciously mentioned, Prodrive, Super Aguri and Toro Rosso, who are all dependant on approval to run complete customer cars, there is another team already on the grid that could also opt to pull out if things don’t start dramatically improving, and soon.

In an attempt to ensure that he has every possible chance to win the 2007 world championship crown after pledges of equality from his team seemed to fall on deaf ears, Fernando Alonso will be given extra special treatment at the upcoming Brazilian Grand Prix when the FIA place a special independent scrutineer into the McLaren garage to keep a three day vigil over his MP4-22.
The reigning world champion is so paranoid that the Woking based squad will favour their British rookie over him in the season finale, that the head of the Spanish Motorsport Federation contacted FIA President Max Mosley to organize the overseeing of his car, mechanics and engineers.

Speculation has been doing the rounds recently in regard to the security of Kimi Raikkonen’s drive at the Scuderia, the young Finn not living up to the Maranello based squad’s expectations this season as he trails his teammate, Felipe Massa, in the drivers’ standings.
Kimi may have gotten off to a strong start, winning his debut race for the team at Albert Park in March, however since then he has been plagued by bad luck that sees him in fourth place, seven points shy of Massa and twenty six behind current points leader, the man who replaced him at McLaren, Lewis Hamilton.
