After the retirement of Michael Schumacher, David Coulthard and Rubens Barrichello are now the two oldest drivers on the Formula One grid with Red Bull Racing’s Coulthard the elder of the two by fourteen months. Therefore, talk of retirement has been surrounding both men for the majority of the year.
In a recent interview with automoto365.com, Barrichello confirmed that retirement from the pinnacle of motorsport couldn’t be further from his thoughts, and now David Coulthard, after scoring Red Bull’s first points of the season with a fifth placed finish in Spain ten days ago, has confirmed that he too is looking to remain right where he is, in an Adrian Newey designed Red Bull racer…

Even though many thought that Bernie Ecclestone was not serious when he mentioned that he wanted to see the Australian Formula One event held at night, the Formula One supremo has now revealed to the Sunday Herald Sun that he was never more serious.
Speaking to the Australian publication, Ecclestone revealed that if the organizers of the Australian Grand Prix don’t host the race under lights, then there is a good chance that it will be moved from its current Albert Park location.

Like most drivers on the Formula One grid, Honda Racing’s Jenson Button is a resident of Monaco, where the fifth round of the 2007 championship will take place this coming weekend. Now, as he looks ahead to the coming event, the young Brit talks about what makes Monaco so special and what you need to have a good race around the legendary street circuit.
“Monaco is the most famous race of all, where all the glitz and glamour of Formula One is on display, and there is no question that it is a very special place over the race weekend. It’s a very different race from any other on the calendar with so much history and it means even more to me as I live in Monaco, so it is one of my home races. Yet ironically the qualities which make it so appealing also make it a frustrating weekend for the teams and drivers.”
